One of the main natural hazards that are most dangerous to the country of Mexico are earthquakes. Earthquakes are frequent and are a great deal of danger to structures. The entire state is located in a high seismic zone prone to earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions and tropical storms. However, although all hazards can be very dangerous, earthquakes are the most frequent and can lead to tsunamic activity and continue increasing any damage. In an effort to relieve some of the impact of the country's geological hazard and address safety, I would primarily focus on earthquake relief. I chose to begin my focus on earthquakes because even though there are also other hazards, earthquakes are frequent and most often impact people the most. Just in the last few months, Mexico has experienced a few massive earthquakes measuring magnitudes of 7.6 and 6.8 that really shook large regions of the country causing buildings to collapse leading to several injuries.
